Frank Portman
also known as Dr. Frank, is best known as the
singer/songwriter of the Bay Area punk band the Mr. T
Experience. His best-selling young adult novel, King Dork,
was published in April of 2006, so now he goes around
calling himself a "famous author."
The film rights to King Dork were bought by Will
Ferrell, and the movie version is currently in
pre-production. Portman’s second novel, Andromeda Klein,
is due in 2009.
