Kathryn Otoshi
is the founder of KO Kids Books and an author/illustrator
living in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2003 she pioneered
her way into the industry by writing, illustrating and
publishing her first book What Emily Saw. In 2004,
Otoshi wrote and illustrated Simon and the Sock Monster,
which was short listed by both the “Writers Digest” and the
“USA Books News” as Best Children’s Book. In 2005, she
created illustrations for the book Marcello and the Movie
Mouse, an Eric Hoffer Award Notable, Hollywood Book
Festival Winner and the Writer’s Digest Award for Best
Children’s Book. Her newest book, One, an
anti-bullying book exploring tolerance and the power of one
voice, will be released this Fall.
