Wendy Lichtman’s

The Writing on the Wall, the protagonist is a 13-year-old
girl who uses math metaphors to help her navigate the
mystery, intrigue, and romance of middle school. Lichtman
has written four other novels for young readers, and her

Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Good Housekeeping and
other national publications.
