Philip L. Fradkin,
the author of Wallace Stegner and the American West, is the
author of ten previous books. He shared in a Pulitzer Prize
at the Los Angeles Times and was western editor of Audubon
Magazine. He has taught at the University of California at
Berkeley, Stanford University and Williams College. He is
the recipient of awards from the Sierra Club, the
Commonwealth Club of California, and two of his books have
been nominated for Pulitzer Prizes.
