Ryan Coonerty is
the Vice Mayor of Santa Cruz, Vice President of Bookshop
Santa Cruz, and lecturer in Legal Studies at UC Santa Cruz.
This year he
published "Etched in Stone -- Enduring Words from Our
National Monuments" (National Geographic) which explores 52
sites around the country, from the Lincoln Memorial in
Washington DC to Angel Island in San Francisco Bay, where
engraved words define our national ideals and history.
